First Lebanese restaurant debuts in Santa Ana

  Falasophy, a popular food truck in Los Angeles and Orange County, opened its first brick-and-mortar location Thursday, Jan. 12, at 4th Street Market in Santa Ana. The Falasophy Food Truck will remain serving public and private stops and events. Falasophy is the first Lebanese restaurant to open in Downtown Santa Ana and will celebrate by offering the first 100 guests at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, Orange Blossom Lemonade and an order of their popular Spicy Falafel Tacos (2)—tacos Gustavo Arellano of OC Weekly called “more authentic than Frida Khalo.” Owner Rashad Moumneh, a former Taco Bell executive who launched Falasophy in 2014, has expanded his menu at Falasophy 4th Street Market to include more Lebanese street food, like 24-hour marinated steak shawarma, sumac chicken and a cheesy Middle Eastern dessert called knefe. Falasophy will also expand the popular line of salad and hummus bowls with a variety of protein options.
