$20,000 Raised at the 4th Annual Sip & Shuck
For the 4th consecutive year, The Deck on Laguna Beach and Driftwood Kitchen, together with The Bungalows at Pacific Edge Hotel, hosted “Sip & Shuck,” a fundraiser that raised $20,000 benefit the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Orange County.
The event gave guests the unique opportunity to experience a variety of hand-shucked oysters, champagne, sparkling wines and more from around the world, all while enjoying panoramic ocean views at the oceanfront restaurants.
Executive Chef Rainer Schwarz and his team prepared delicious tastes from both The Deck and Driftwood Kitchen. The event also included beverages from Casamigos Tequila, Duke Whiskey, Luca, Vie Vite Rose, Captain Morgan, Milagro Tequila, Listel Rose, Paco and Lola, Hendrick’s Gin, Chandon, Patron Tequila, Laguna Beach Beer Company, Nolet’s, Veuve Clicquot, Kendall Jackson, Tito’s Vodka, Reyka Vodka, Shakespeare Vodka, Piper Sonoma, Zonin, Nicholas Freuillate, Villa Maria, Chateau Ste. Michelle, Ketel One, Sailor Jerry, Kean Coffee, and Volvic Water.
“In four years, Sip & Shuck has become one of the most popular events in Laguna Beach. This year, we welcomed the opportunity to benefit a local Orange County group, CASA, which is dedicated to helping children in need,” commented Director of Operations John Nye. “Once again, we exceeded expectations by sourcing an incredible array of fresh oysters, presenting lively entertainers, and pouring terrific champagnes, wines and spirits. As a result, we reached a new milestone by raising $20,000 for CASA.”
