Ariel’s Grotto “Under The Sea” Character Dining

  I had been waiting for a special occasion to take my girls to Ariel’s Grotto, the character dining experience inside Disney’s California Adventure Park.  It just so happened that their fifth and second birthdays (both falling in May) was the perfect occasion! Like many Southern California residents, we are Disneyland annual pass holders and visit the park quite regularly.  This was a wonderful way to make their birthday visit unique  from our other visits and something they won’t soon forget. Upon entering Ariel’s Grotto, you are ushered down a winding staircase to meet, who else but, Ariel! With the character dining experience, each girl gets a special time with each (of five) princesses. Iconic Captain Jacks in Sunset Beach

 I have lived in South Orange County most of my life and never knew where Sunset Beach was until my Junior year in college. Granted North and South county sometimes seem much further apart than the 15 minutes that they are, but this little gem was not to be missed! Sunset Beach is a tiny beach town nestled between Seal Beach and Huntington Beach right at the front of Huntington Harbor. It’s a tiny strip off PCH – as in just a handful of stop lights – but it has huge character all its own. It’s a beach community right out of the 60s and something you simply will not find in the vast majority of Southern California, let alone Orange County.
