Burntzilla: Two Food Trucks Collide and make a Home in Irvine
We dined as a guest
I love truck food. Where else can you try the most amazing gourmet food at half the cost? I have never been into the food truck culture of waiting for hours in line or following their every move on my phone, which means I miss out on a lot of good food. If there is an event and I happen to be there I try every truck out knowing that it will be a long time before my next feast. Now if I were a genie of sorts, I would create a situation where food trucks would have stationary home and I could go there whenever I wanted to feast in their magic. Abracadabra Kalamazam may I present to you Burntzilla!!!
Located in a strip mall on the corner of Culver and Walnut in Irvine, Burntzilla is literally wide open and ready to feed the masses. Burntzilla is the lovechild of The Dogzilla Truck and The Burnt Truck which means that your taste buds are going to be in HEAVEN!!!! They took on the Burnt Truck’s modern take on classic comfort foods and Dogzilla’s Asian inspired twist on the traditional American Hot Dog.
Everything is made from scratch except the Kings Hawaiian Bread and wow is it good. Everything on the menu is slider sized, so you can have one of each if you have a healthy appetite, I personally was full with 3 items whereas my son 4!
Now you might think that will break the bank but not really, options run between $3 and $4.50 plus they have combo meal deals, which makes it super easy to enjoy a variety of fantastic bites. Burntzilla also offers a cardless rewards program.
For every dollar you spend at Burntzilla you receive a point and start racking in free items. They also text you when they have freebies.
On top of the brick and mortar, Burntzilla still has their food trucks and are ready to cater any event, be it a block party, fundraiser or corporate event. Words can’t describe how tasty their food is, but pictures can sure make your mouth water.
