Fabulous Fondue at The Melting Pot
Looking for the ultimate dining experience with your children? Their eyes will light up with delight from the moment that they step foot in The Melting Pot restaurant. Your family will have the night of a lifetime while dipping fabulous food into the table side fondue pots at The Melting Pot.
It was our first time dining at The Melting Pot, and our family no idea what to expect before coming to dinner for the evening. When we walked into the dim lighted restaurant, it gave our children a sense of calming before sitting at a high top booth. In the center of the table was our own built-in hot plate along with two fondue pots.
Being the first time at The Melting Pot, we choose to have the 4-course experience, and an experience was what we were going to get. With the 4-course experience, we got to select a cheese fondue, our own personal salads, an entree and a chocolate fondue for dessert.
For the first course, my husband and I had the Spinach Artichoke Cheese Fondue that was made table side by our server with delicious Fontina and Butterkäse cheeses, spinach, artichoke heart and garlic. The kids could not get enough of the creamy Cheddar Cheese Fondue that came with aged, medium-sharp cheddar and Emmenthaler Swiss cheeses, lager beer, garlic and seasonings. Our family laughed and giggled together while dipping bread and vegetables into these savory fondues.

Then we took a break from the fondue and had fresh and crisp salads for the second course. We all tried a different salad, and The Melting Pot House Salad was our family favorite. It came with all our kids favorite ingredients including crisp romaine and iceberg lettuce, cheddar cheese, fresh tomatoes, crispy croutons and sliced egg. The salad was perfectly paired with their sweet and tangy house dressing.
There was a wide variety of main courses for our family to select. They came with a large amount of meat, and one main course easily could feed all three of my children. Our kids loved The Classic main dish that came with seasoned Angus sirloin, Memphis-style BBQ pork medallion, Pacific white shrimp, herb-crusted all-natural breast of chicken, and teriyaki-marinated sirloin. While my husband and I loved the Steak Lovers. My husband and I shared the Steak Lovers and the Land and Sea, and the two main courses were just enough meat and seafood for both of us to enjoy. Together we cooked meat and seafood to perfection in the fondues, and had an epicurean adventure while dipping the cooked meats into the wide variety of sauces.
Just when we thought that we could not eat another bite, it was time for dessert. Mini cheesecake bites, brownies, strawberries, bananas, and more. We tantalized our sweet tooth with every bite of the delicious desserts after dipping them into the chocolate fondues. The Chocolate Smores fondue was our kids top pick while my husband and I could not get enough of the Cookie’s n’ Cream Marshmallow Dream.
Family Dining Tips:
- The 4-Course meal is enough for three children. For a family of five, two of these meals would be more than enough to feed a family our size.
- Come early to dine. It is a full dining experience that will take your family a couple of hours to experience.
With our son that has severe food allergies, they were easily able to accommodate him. Since all of the fondues are prepared table side, it is easy for the staff to help eliminate any food allergens. There is also a wide variety of dining options on their gluten-free menu. Advise the staff when first arriving at the restaurant of your food allergies, and they will do their best to accommodate everyone.
