FIG & OLIVE Hosts Cooking Demo at Bloomingdales Fashion Island

This Saturday, March 12, Orange County’s olive oil oasis, FIG & OLIVE Newport Beach, partners with Bloomingdales Fashion Island to host a French Rivera-inspired cooking demonstration and chef discussion in honor of the restaurant’s exquisitely-crafted cookbook, “FIG & OLIVE: The Cuisine of the French Riviera.”

The delicious event will take place from 2:00pm to 4:00pm in the Bloomingdales Home Store where onlookers may follow along with Chef de Cuisine, Mark Hibbs, as he prepares and plates two ingredient-driven, springtime recipes from FIG & OLIVE’s debut book, including:

Zucchini Carpaccio – thinly sliced zucchini seasoned with pine nuts, parmesan, and Picholine olive oil

At the end of each presentation, Chef Hibbs will treat guests to bite-sized tastings, which will embody the full flavors of whole fruits and vegetables, accentuated by FIG & OLIVE’s truest passion – complementary (or contrasting) notes of rich, peppery, and floral olive oils. Furthermore, Bloomingdales Fashion Island will have hard copies of “FIG & OLIVE: The Cuisine of the French Riviera” available for purchase.
