Hot Dining Spot: Hendrix Now Open
The team behind Driftwood Kitchen and The Deck on Laguna Beach concepts, has introduced its newest restaurant in Orange County, Hendrix, at the Ocean Ranch Village in Laguna Niguel (32431 Golden Lantern, Laguna Niguel). This neighborhood restaurant offers a style of cuisine that reflects the current “New American” trend, which assimilates flavors from the melting pot of traditional American cooking techniques. Executive Chef Rainer Schwarz’s menu items include recognizable preparations and emphasize the main ingredient at its best. These include popular cuts of fish, steaks and chops as well as rotisserie items with interesting and flavorful accompaniments and appetizers reflecting seasonal availability and quality.
Some of the standout dishes from Hendrix’s rotisserie will include spit-roasted Porcetta and Colorado Rack of Lamb, which will be available for takeaway and in-house dining as entrees or sharable platters. The menu also includes Fried Catfish, Double R Ranch Bone-In Ribeye, Scottish Cedar-Planked Salmon, and Rotisserie Chicken & Fontina Flatbread. Guests may begin their meal with freshly made-to-order Zucchini Cornbread with honey compound butter with sea salt, and end with Austrian Apple Strudel, inspired by Chef Schwarz’s youth.
Hendrix Restaurant features a full bar with a beverage program that will include a mix of signature drinks, a quality draft program reflecting the American craft movement, and an easy-to-navigate wine list full of favorites at recognizably good pricing. Wines will be on display in the restaurant so diners can shop for their desired bottle at near retail price.
