Learn How to Cook Indian Food with ADYA’s Chef Shachi
To celebrate the start of a new year, ADYA shifts its focus to highlighting its fresh offerings, which include local, farm-fresh and seasonal fruits and vegetables. Those looking for a healthy beginning to 2016 can learn how to create light, flavorful Indian dishes during a special cooking class on Saturday, January 23rd at 11 a.m. on ADYA’s Boxcar Patio. Executive Chef Shachi Mehra will demonstrate dishes utilizing some of the Top Produce Trends for 2016, as selected by Melissa’s World Variety Produce.
The ingredients to be featured during the class include Okra, Tree-Ripened Mangoes, Turmeric Root, Persian Cucumbers, Young Coconuts – all of which can be found on Melissa’s Produce’s Top Produce Trends list for 2016.
Guests in attendance will not only learn to create healthy, trendsetting dishes, but they will have the opportunity to enjoy each during a lunch, with choice of wine, craft beer, fresh lime soda, lassi or traditional chai. Held outside on ADYA’s private boxcar patio at 11 AM on Saturday, January 23rd, this culinary demo is $30 per guest with limited class availability, so those interested in attending must reserve a seat by calling (714) 533-2392.
