After having the kids home during the summer, most parents are in dire need of a romantic date night. After finally finding a babysitter for the evening, the last thing that parents want is to be rushed through a meal. At SeaLegs Wine Bar in Huntington Beach, guests are encouraged to take their time, and enjoy every mouthwatering moment while indulging in delicious small plates perfectly paired with wine.

My husband and I recently had a date night at SeaLegs Wine Bar, and it quickly became one of our favorite date night dining destinations in Orange County. The restaurant features an intimate dining room with cozy seats and fragrant ocean breezes. It has modern comforts with unparalleled service that sophisticated couples expect when seeking a date night destination in Orange County.

When dining at SeaLegs Wine Bar, my husband and I, started our night with quinoa crab fried rice paired with a glass of Monser Sarba wine from Romania. The fried rice came beautifully presented and filled with blue crab, quinoa, carrots, spring onion, bean sprouts and topped with a sunny-side up egg. The dish was light, refreshing and full of flavor. The wine brought out the fresh flavors of the blue crab while complimenting the quinoa.

Our favorite dish of the evening was the Pig and Fig Flatbread. The flavorful flatbread comes with papaya gastrique, prosciutto applewood smoked bacon, figs, caramelized onion, blue cheese, mozzarella and arugula on a piece of warm grilled flatbread. The flavors of the figs tantalized our tastebuds when paired with a glass of Shadow Ranch Zinfandel.

We took our time to savor every bite of the Charred Filet Medallions with pickled onions served with a red wine demi-glaze. This dish was cooked to perfection and paired perfectly with a glass of Muscardini Cellars Rosato di Sangiovese wine.

It was the perfect ending to a perfect evening sharing a plate of their bananas foster with a sparkling glass of Coastal Vines champagne. The dessert features housemade brioche bread with bananas, candied walnuts and cinnamon rum sauce.
