Dining Guide for Families in Orange County

SOCO Uncorked is Back


SOCO Uncorked is back on March 31st at 6pm, and is unlike any other wine and food festival – it is truly a collaboration between all the tenants at South Coast Collection (SOCO) and The OC Mix. Bites are provided by the culinary offerings at the food hall, including award-winning restaurants like Taco Maria, Pueblo, ARC, and more. To create the dishes, they use tenant offerings like Surfas for their cookware, and Savory Spice Shop for all their rubs and spices. LCA Wine (helmed by Nancy Milby and Master Sommelier Peter Neptune) works with the restaurants individually to pair a wine varietal based on the dish they serve.


Tickets will be $75 in advance, and over 20 SOCO culinary destinations will be featured, along with 35 wineries. Proceeds from the ticket sales benefit Costa Mesa-based Project Hope Alliance, helping end child homelessness in Orange County.

Wine Trends from Master Sommelier Peter Neptune

At LCA Wine from 5pm-6pm
$100 advance, $120 at the door
Includes Entry to SOCO Uncorked Event

Orange County’s first Master Sommelier, Peter Neptune, may be an Orange County local, but he has a world of experience when it comes to all things wine. In this exclusive one hour seminar at LCA Wine at SOCO, Peter will guide you through a historical “review” of the major wine regions and styles of wine. The master somm will then give you his unique perspective on how the wine industry has evolved to the current day with the madness of scores, technology improvements, social consciousness, “green” marketing, climate change, and the impact of the global economy. He’ll wrap up the seminar with a conclusion on where he thinks it’s all going, and what to look for as a continuing source of great value and emerging markets. Duck Deconstruction with Chef Noah Blom of ARC, Restaurant Marin and The Guild Club

At Surfas Culinary District at SOCO from 5pm – 6pm

If it quacks like a duck… SOCO’s own Chef Noah Blom, owner and chef of the award winning ARC restaurant at SOCO, will demonstrate how to deconstruct a duck, and discuss how all of the various and sundry parts are used. Small bites will be offered of the delicious morsels, featuring duck of course, and will represent all three of Chef Noah’s SOCO restaurants, including the highly anticipated Restaurant Marin and The Guild, both coming to SOCO Winter 2016.
