Dining Guide for Families in Orange County

Stefano’s Beer Social Fall Opening

We dined as a guest of Stefano’s

My husband and I were guests of Stefano’s Beer Social Fall Opening, featuring everything pumpkin! Stefano’s is located in Yorba Linda on Imperial Hwy and Yorba Lina Blvd behind Chili’s. Stefano’s is so much more than a specialty Italian deli; now you can enjoy dinner with craft beers and wines as well.

Sitting on the patio of Stefano’s we chatted it up with Frank Sr. (the owner) and his son, Frankie. Father and son share the same enthusiasm and love for great food. Frankie researched a new twist on the classic mac ‘n’ cheese, and came up with pumpkin, panchetta, and a well aged sharp cheddar “cooked down all day.” The final pizazz are the thick bacon chunks with nutmeg on top. My husband called it, “the so-darn-good-mac’n’cheese” (I tamed down what he actually said!) and washed it down with Bootlegger’s Brand Hefeweizen and Bottle Logic Pumpkin beer.

The pumpkin beer, is very well balanced with a hint of a cinnamon after taste. The refreshing Pumpkinspice beer is crafted by the very popular local brewery, called Bottle Logic. Stefano’s developed a special bond with the brewery through catering and now personally roasts pumpkins in their kitchen for the beer. It’s a match made in heaven for sure.

Stefano’s launched their two new entrees called the Meatloaf sandwich, which consists of homemade meatloaf, bacon, crispy onions and chipotle mayo on rye and their Juliette panini, which everyone will surely fall in love with, featuring: cinnamon apples, butterscotch, and cannoli creme. It tastes like apple pie in a crispy panini. It’s simply the taste of Fall perfection!

Be sure to check out “Beernini Tuesday”, where when you buy any beer, you get a panini for half price. Prices range from $8- $10.50 for panini’s and if you are a salad lover like me, there is plenty of variety. My pick, is the Stefano’s specialty salad, just the right combination of italian taste of artichokes, olives, croutons and anice creamy house made balsamic dressing.

The Stefano’s wait staff is so well informed about each entree and dessert. If you go there, they are sure to not steer you wrong with a selection. Frankie’s first priority is to make sure that his staff guide their customers to find what they were exactly craving and satisfy their taste buds.

Frank Sr. is proud that his “millennial children” have taken his Old World Italian to the next level. Frankie, said he loves working at Stefano’s because he can change up the entrees and make everything fresh again.

They have kept the traditions of their parents, but have also added their own flair, keeping up with the new craft beer craze. Frankie definitely wants to bring that homemade dinner with a refreshing beer- kinda-vibe.

Wine-Wednesdays are catching on at Stefano’s and there is a cool acoustic guitar player outside some nights to help everyone relax and feel like they are at a casual party. I can tell my husband and I will become regulars here at Stefano’s because of their friendly staff and great food. It’s a great place to unwind during a hectic week.

You will simply not be able to resist the desserts in their display case! Frank Sr.’s most proud of their phenomal cheesecake but I enjoyed the pumpkin brûlée and chocolate pudding as well.

So when you want the taste of Fall, go to Stefano’s. I guarantee you will get hooked and want to go all year round.
