Dining Guide for Families in Orange County

Sweet Summer Stacks at IHOP

We dined as a guest of IHOP

My family is pancake lovers. When we found out about the all-new summer stacks at IHOP, we could not wait to come in and try the sweet new breakfast dishes. While on our way up to the mountains to drop our son off at summer camp, we stopped into IHOP on Father’s Day for breakfast.

The restaurant was packed with lots of families waiting for a table, but the staff quickly got families in and out while offering superior service on Father’s Day. While we sipped on our warm cup of coffee, we took the time to say “good-bye” to our son before taking him to summer camp.

Two of my older son’s favorite things come together with the blueberry lemonade pancakes. The dish came with two buttermilk pancakes filled with blueberries and topped with lemonade cream and fresh blueberries. The sweet breakfast dish was the perfect serving size for a growing 13-year-old boy and sweet enough to satisfy his sweet tooth.

Perfect for my husband was the blackberry peach cobbler pancakes. The dish came with two buttermilk pancakes topped with juicy blackberries, sweet peaches, crunchy honey oat pecan crumbles and vanilla ice cream. It was just like having dessert for breakfast, and he paired the pancakes with eggs, sausage and bacon.

Finally, my daughter enjoyed every bite of the banana pudding pancakes with Nilla Wafers. The dish featured two buttermilk pancakes topped with silky banana pudding, fresh bananas, whipped topping, powdered sugar and Nilla wafers.

We were able to take a cup of our favorite IHOP coffee with us to-go as we made our way up into the local mountains for the afternoon.

The sweet pancakes dishes are available at your local IHOP for a limited time and are guaranteed to win over the hearts of your children. Don’t miss their upcoming celebration where on July 7th IHOP will celebrate their 57th Anniversary by offering customers. 57 buttermilk pancakes from 7 am to 7 pm.
